Der „Schwänklhof“ gehört zu den Anichhöfen und war seit jeher ein Baumannhof. Man nimmt an, dass er von landwirtschaftlichen Arbeitern bewohnt und bewirtschaftet wurde. Erbaut wurde der „Schwänklhof“ 1537 durch die Grafen von Anich. Um 1558 scheint der Hof urkundlich als „Schwannzlhof“ auf. 1901 wurde das bestehende Gebäude um 1 Stockwerk erhöht.

Schwänklhof is one of the Anich properties and was always a workers‘ accommodation. It is supposed that it was an accommodation for farm workers who worked at this farm. The counts of Anich built Schwänklhof in 1537. Around 1558, the farm is documented as “Schwannzlhof”. An extra floor was added to the building in 1901.

Until about 1935, Schwänklhof was a farm wine tavern with alleys for ninepins and boccia. This can still be seen in the 1.5-meter wide slot between the former kitchen and the parlor.

The original interior walls (up until 1901, before the addition of a floor) are between 50 and 60 cm thick, the exterior walls between 1.80 and 2.00 m.
